Mother’s Day Gift Guide For Mom’s That Say They “Don’t Want Anything”

It’s almost Mother’s Day! In honor of this occasion I’ve put together a gift guide to help all us kids out there who have moms that say they don’t want any gifts. You know, when you were younger and you asked your mom what she wanted for mother’s day and she said something like: “I want you and your sister not to argue!” Which morphed into: “I just want to not be bothered!” when we became adults and homemade cutout hearts no longer cut the mustard as acceptable gift options. Either way, the request was always something super vague, nothing that could be purchased and really just felt like a trap!

Since we still can’t promise not to argue with our siblings, and definitely don’t plan on giving our moms a break from the annoyance that we are (it’s our defining trait as children…duh!), take a peek at my Mother’s Day Gift Guide For Mom’s Who Say They “Don’t Want Anything.”

  1. Bon Appetit Desserts Cookbook: I own this cookbook, and there is a dessert for every occasion imaginable! If your mom is a baker, this dessert centric cookbook will make a great addition to her collection.
  2. Kindle E-Reader: The kindle has become a classic gift to give to anyone who is an avid reader.
  3. Flawless Contour Micro Vibrating Jade Roller: Is your mom a skin-care junkie? Then this jade roller is for her!
  4. Eucalyptus Spearmint Aromatherapy Gift Set: Personally, I’m a big fan of these Bath & Bodyworks Aromatherapy sets. If your mom is in need of some me-time, this gift set or one like it would make a great gift!
  5. Vera Wang Fragrance: This fragrance is the perfect perfume for spring! A combination of iris, lily and gardenia, as well as notes of mandarin orange and soft sandalwood; it lasts throughout the day in warmer temperatures, while also not being too strong.
  6. Apres Gel X System: For moms that are missing their bi-weekly trips to the nail salon because of COVID-19, they can get the same manicure at home DIY-style. These extensions are used by professional nail technicians, but the company that makes them also sells this set that you can use at home!
  7. Double Sided Lighted Vanity Mirror: My sister and I got a mirror like this for my mom for Christmas last year, and she uses it everyday! It’s double sided with different magnifications that can assist with various things like makeup application or tweezing.
  8. Weighted Eye Mask: This light-blocking weighted eye mask will have your mom waking up feeling refreshed and pampered!
  9. Paper Clip Earrings: For the fashion forward moms out there that like to push the boundaries a bit!
  10. Wooden Watch: I’ve always found wooden watches to be a unique and stylish alternative to the run-of-the-mill silver or gold options. They are a great addition to a collection.
  11. Air Fryer: Air Fryers are life! In my house we use it just about everyday. I promise you that is not an exaggeration. Not only does it reduce cooking time, but it’s a healthy alternative to frying foods in oil.
  12. Electric Tea Kettle: If your mom is a tea drinker, an electric tea kettle is one of the best things you can get her. It makes preparing tea a simple easy process. No more running back and forth to the microwave!
  13. Iceless Wine Bottle Chiller: This iceless wine bottle chiller keeps your wine cold, without the condensation on the exterior. Not only does it look sleek, it keeps the surface it’s resting on dry.
  14. Purple Pillow: This pillow is magic! It’s like sitting on a super supportive, posture enhancing cloud! We bought my dad the Royal Purple Pillow for his birthday last November for him to use while at work. He’s let me borrow it a couple of times and if your mom works long hours sitting, get her this pillow…she will love you even more for it!

I hope you found this guide helpful, and that it gave you some ideas and inspiration for what to get your mom this year!
